Children, Teen & Family Counseling
Growing children, teens and families are in constant growth and change. As parents, often times as soon as you think you have figured it out, your child is already moving on to a new stage. However, helping to empower your child to grow their resiliencies at any age can have a lifelong impact for them. More importantly, noticing your child's current coping skills, communication style and then helping them to grow upon those skills can help to create change.
At RISE Wellness and Therapy, LLC we understand that children and teens often need more than talk therapy. Which is why we incorporate alternative forms of communication, such as: art therapy, play therapy, sandtray therapy, expressive therapy, and experiential therapy to name a few. The goal is to find a way to connect.
Children regardless of their age are not isolated beings. They live and function within a family system. In our approach, supporting the caregivers and the family supports the child. As a therapist, we know we are not forever, but the family is. Let's explore how to best support yours.
