I feel the most important aspect of our journey together is to provide a safe and affirming space for you to explore and reshape your identity. I believe that each person’s mental health journey is unique and needs to be created to fit the person. While many things contribute to where we are today, I believe it’s important to honor where we’ve been, to acknowledge how far we’ve come and where we will continue to grow.

I am both a School Counselor and a Licensed Practitioner Counselor (LPC), having graduated from DePaul University with a Master's in Counseling. I have over 8 years experience working in schools, camps and other agencies working with youth through a trauma-informed and equity centered lens. If a client is interested, I am also a Certified Yoga Teacher and can incorporate somatic mind-body connection through movement and chakra awareness.

I have a passion for serving teens, young adults, members of the LGBTQ+ and queer community. I enjoy helping clients navigate their family systems and relationships. Whether that means helping a parent support their child or create a healthy life balance in their role as a parent; to supporting a child who is now experiencing conflict at home; or holding family sessions to help family members hear one another and find new ways of connecting. I am trained in the Gottman Method for couples counseling and can help clients enhance their connection by growing their friendship, communication, and healthy conflict styles.

I like using a variety of frameworks to support you through therapy and create interventions that match your needs. Possible modalities could include: Internal Family Systems Model, DBT, CBT, Health at Every Size and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I can help survivors of trauma or who have had a difficult experience through EMDR. I am excited to engage with clients at RISE integrating narrative therapy and feminist theory into sessions. I can also incorporate somatic approaches, utilizing Psychologically Sensitive Yoga into therapy.

Overall, I have served individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, relationship struggles, identity issues, body acceptance, body image struggles, life transitions and working toward radical self-love. I look forward to connecting with you and joining you in your journey as you take your next steps in healing.
